Marin, CA. Luxury Home

Marin, CA. Luxury Home

St. John’s? Poipu? Marin? Let us continue….

This immaculate gated home with a Great Room configuration, was built in 2008 and sits on a peaceful cul-de-sac near parks, trails, shopping, restaurants, golf and tennis clubs, and more. It possesses all the benefits of modern construction, but retains a palpable old fashioned comfort and warmth. The many unique amenities include: tasteful plantation shutters or top down/bottom up shades providing character and natural light control; alarmed door to the back yard (for pool safety); whisper soft air conditioning; an environmentally friendly, high efficiency dual-zone climate control system; custom built-in shelving and cabinetry upstairs and downstairs; built-in closet storage; upstairs Laundry Room with sink, storage, and custom cainetry; and ample storage capabilities in the oversized, 5-car garage.

The Master Bedroom, which looks out to the pool, palms, and open space canyons beyond, is extraordinary. When I first saw the fully optimized, climate controlled, and air purified walk-in closet, I commented to the builder that the closet was bigger than my first home. The accompanying architect chimed in that the time spent configuring and optimizing the closet space took 14 hours.

The Master Bath comes with an expansive, jetted, oval tub, step-in shower, lots of closet space; and dual vanity. The views from the tub are sublime–watch the birds lull and float in the drowsing pockets of rising air. The univeral surround audio system, which is piped into every room and throughout the property, accents the moment.

The front yard is open and inviting with mature softscaping for superior privacy. A young willow tree, just coming into its own, sits traqnquily in the large grassy area outside the front porch, which is accented by tasteful elements such as Berino tile hardscaping and ample shade at the threshold.

Perhaps the mosting inviting feature of this fine Marin luxury property is the pool. It is titilating. Not only are there numerous banana palms surrounding the pool area, but the tropical ambiance is simply divine. Above the pool and waterfall is an oversized spa with separate patio. The spa is shallow and independently heated such that it can reach your desired temperature within 3 minutes. It was designed for use as a children’s pool and/or spa and the touch a button can convert it to either use. There is a waterslide from the spa to the pool 38-feet below.

Additionally, the owners went to the extra expense of installing a pebble-bottom salt water pool, which comes with many advantages, including: no toxic chemicals; no stinging eyes; no overbearing chlorine smells; and lower maintenance requirements. The pool also comes with a simple removable fence for the protection of kids, pets, etc. (again, the back door is also alarmed for safety). There is also open patio area for those wonderful poolside al fresco dinners on warm summer evenings. And afterwards, relax deep into the night, gazing at the stars while soaking in the luxurious spa.
